KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rinker Materials, a Quikrete Company, is currently hiring for a Plant Admin out of our Henderson, CO plant. The “Plant Admin - Human Resource Plant Support” position is responsible for administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource and sales administrative functions. This position will observe the confidentiality of all team members and company information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and team members relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and all communication.
  • Set up / maintain and manage accurate up- to – date human resource files, records, and all team members documents to ensure Security.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with payroll functions including processing team member documents, answering team member questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization benefits/ payroll department. Includes being knowledgeable on company health, disability, and retirement plans. Processes all hourly team members change from creation, approvals, to submittal. Process all termination paperwork for location.
  • Plans and manages special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, team member recognition events, holiday parties, training and retirement celebrations, quarterly safety lunches for each plant at location.
  • Schedule drug screens and provide authorizations as needed for location.
  • Assist new candidates through hiring process; Conducts new hire orientation.

· Collect mail and distribute to AP, or employees in pipe and precast buildings.

· Prepare and document check deposits to send to corporate office for processing. Communicate with AR what checks and business unit checks get applied to.

· Help resolve issues with Printers or technical issues around the office or assist with contacting IT department for further assistance.

· Order office supplies for Pipe and Precast buildings, at a cost-effective rate.

· Submit employee reimbursements for safety boots and personal expenses.

· Manage janitorial needs for both pipe and precast office and plant buildings.

· Manage Phone system for both precast and pipe buildings. Help employees with any phone issues or contact phone company to schedule technician to come out and fix issues.

· Mail out packages by UPS for Henderson location. Manage UPS account for our location’s users.

· Assist sales team with tasks as needed, including managing RFQ’s, downloading plans, and updating spreadsheets

· Assist sales team with order entry as needed

· Assist sales team with walk in and will call sales

· Perform special tasks as directed by the Regional Sales Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two-year degree or equivalent manufacturing, construction or transportation coordination preferred.
  • One plus year manufacture administrative experience along with HR/Payroll/Timekeeping experience preferred (Ulti Pro, Attendance Enterprise and Kronos).
  • Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Adobe and database/ERP systems (JDE). Able to learn or build upon existing knowledge of computer and/or database.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Good communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels of team members.
  • Ability to maintain personnel/payroll files and procedures according to laws and regulations.
  • Work as an effective and proactive team player, understands the importance of supporting the plant, production, HR/Payroll functions along with collaborating professionally with team members and managers.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel 5 percent of the time.
