The Role at a Glance

The NPI Client Success Team drives education and adoption of industry leading planning technologies to reduce financial planning process time, increase revenue, and strengthen client relationships.  The Consultant, DFP Client Success role will act as a resource to field advisors seeking digital financial planning support. They will collaborate with stakeholders to lead first-class digital onboarding, training, and adoption experience of approved software tools to support advisors' external clients.  By helping advisors learn and navigate through the entire dynamic financial planning experience, they will support better external client’s engagement of the financial planning process.  In addition, they will participate with a team of NPI specialists on high net worth client’s complex financial planning modeling needs and make appropriate recommendations.

What you'll be doing

•    Reviews, identifies, and communicates recommendations on cases to advisors and other team members throughout the dynamic financial planning process.
•    Utilizes Lincoln approved financial planning and investment planning software tools to create more complex models for advisors' client needs.
•    Acts as a resource for training on financial planning topics and software tools & timely investment topics to team members, advisors, and office staff when necessary.
•    Delivers training to advisors/staff in a variety of national field training formats.
•    Consults and participates on one or more department committees.
•    Analyze client data and selects appropriate solutions based on client objectives, resources, and time frame throughout the onboarding experience.
•    Participate in trainings of Lincoln approved financial planning and investment planning software tools to create complex models for advisors' client needs.
•    Proactive outreach to advisors needed to drive education, training, and software updates, advocates of the planning process, as well as to help reduce churn of software utilization.
•    Acts as a resource in the overall onboarding experience of our dynamic financial planning process, focusing on the training and adoption of Lincoln approved planning tools which includes educating advisors how to incorporate these forms.
•    Provides case-specific observations and makes appropriate recommendations to the advisors throughout the dynamic financial planning onboarding process.
 

What we’re looking for

•    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
•    3 - 5+ Years financial planning experience in the insurance or investment industry. (Required)
•    Knowledge of eMoney or MoneyGuides financial planning tools
•    Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Writes and speaks in a compelling manner, altering the communication approach based on the target audience.
•    Participates in and/or facilitates group discussions/meetings that efficiently achieve targeted results.
•    Effectively presents in a variety of formal and informal settings.
•    Interpret/compile results for financial solutions.
•    Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
•    Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
•    Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
•    Strong technical skills in financial/investment planning.
 
CERTIFICATIONS
•    Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures: (Series License-7)
•    Certified Financial Planner or other personal financial planning designations desirable

Pay Range: $77,000 - $90,700 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
