Overview
Responsible for all daily restaurant operations, hiring and developing talent, overseeing food quality, and creating memorable guest experiences, to drive sales and manage profitability.
Terrain Garden Café celebrates the cycle of the seasons and the bounty of the land. Using hand-selected produce, meats and dairy products, our team takes pride in crafting menus from the seasonal harvest of local farmers we know and trust. Located in Glen Mills, PA; Westport, CT; Palo Alto, CA; Devon, PA and Bethesda, MD, we work tirelessly to craft an environment that aesthetically and gastronomically reflects the best of our local community. Terrain Garden Cafe is part of URBN Food and Beverage, which also owns and operates Amis brands (Amis Trattoria and Bar Amis) and Pizzeria Vetri.
About You

• Three to five years of restaurant management experience; full service preferred
• Ability to drive sales through excellent service, building of community relationships, and keen awareness of business and industry trends
• Strong record of developing employees at all levels
• Exceptional organizational & time management skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Operations

• Analyzes and recommends methods for improvements to contain/reduce costs and increase sales
• Monitors all food and beverage products to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
• Enforces company standards, policies, and procedures, including sanitation, safety, dress codes, and cash handling
• Maintains a clean and safe physical environment through timely repair and upkeep. Educates assistant managers and other employees on sanitation and food handling procedures
• Upholds all company Policy and Procedure

People & Development

• Oversees training of assistant managers to ensure the development of their leadership skills, customer service skills, and fluency in all systems
• Encourages a positive work environment. Responsible for hiring, training, developing and evaluating employees
• Leads by example. Encourages two-way dialogue by providing actionable and candid feedback to staff and soliciting upward feedback from team to continue personal growth

Guest Experience

• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback; effectively responds to and handles guest issues and complaints
• Acts as a brand ambassador by leading and developing community relations
• Creates memorable guest experiences by demonstrating extraordinary service and leading by example
