Position Summary
Provide relief and back-up coverage to the following positions within the Pitting Department: Pitter Attendant, Forklift, Bracket 5 Processing Employee, and General Labor / Sorter as well as to other positions, as needed.
Essential Functions
- Proficiently fill the position of Pitter Attendant, Forklift, Br. 5 Processing Employee, and General Labor
- Provide relief during breaks
- Provide coverage for absences, vacations, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required
- Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Must pass respiratory fitness test
Physical Demands of Job
The employee must be able to perform the physical demands listed below to perform this specific job functions:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
Work Environment
The work environments listed here are representative of those that may be encountered by employee while performing the functions of this job:
- Wet or humid conditions
- Extreme temperatures
- Exposure to brine (sulfur dioxide)
- Exposure to bleach (sodium chlorite)
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
