Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Piping Designer, we'll count on you to:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphical representations of engineering designs by hand and using computer-aided design software
- Develop and oversee the production of project BIM models to meet the required BIM uses including design document production
- Independently create and oversee the development of the model under broad direction from the project team or Project Manager
- Work with clients and or contractor representatives using the BIM model for review purposes
- Some travel will be required
- Perform other duties as needed
- Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years' experience working as a CAD Technician
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and standard BIM Software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Industrial Revit MEP experienced preferred
- Proficient in BIM, multi-discipline design development, construction documents, technical documents, engineering & Navisworks clash-detection
- Able to prepare drawings and details
- Strong computer skills using Revit, BIM 360, and Navisworks
- Direct experience working with multi-discipline project production teams
