Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Piping Designer (Pressure Vessel) to work in our Hartland, WI office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Piping Designer (Pressure Vessel) will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will be creative, have good communication skills, be team-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be
customer service oriented.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design (preferred) OR Two (2) or more years of relative Mechanical Designer experience
Job Description:
- Pressure Vessel Mechanical Design to meet all the requirements of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- The piping/vessel designer will create general equipment layouts with major interconnecting piping included.
- Additionally, the piping/vessel designer will be responsible for the creation of drawings for medium to large chemical processing equipment such as Pressure Vessels, evaporators, crystallizers, etc.
- Typical drawings include general arrangements, dimensional, fabrication, plate maps, tolerance, lifting and rigging and transportation.
- The piping/vessel designer will utilize AutoCAD 3D and 2D for all drawings.
- The piping/vessel designer must be proficient in the following software programs; AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- The piping/vessel designer should be familiar with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, ASTM Standards, API, ANSI, ISO and OSHA.
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- Experience with Pressure Vessel Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D / 3D and Solidworks
- 3D Design. If not full training will be provided on Auto-Plant Piping,
- Proficient in use of MS Office (Word and Excel) and AutoCAD; 3D modeling is desired, but not necessary.
- Experience with mechanical and piping designs and P&ID preparation.
- Experience with water treatment, evaporation, refinery, chemical, and power plant equipment.
