Foth Production Solutions works closely with consumer product companies to solve their toughest technical challenges. Foth Production Solutions, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Process Designer who has a desire to contribute to our clients' success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of our Green Bay, WI; Madison, WI; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or US Based Remote work from home office location.
Primary Responsibilities:

    • Organize, lead, and delegate design work to a team of designers, hold team members accountable
    • Mentor junior designers on best practices in designing various kinds of Process Piping systems
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned projects, clients, and/or technology
    • Develop Process Piping layouts
    • Develop general arrangement drawings
    • Create process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Design piping and process systems for a variety of industrial, consumer goods, food, and Beverage projects
    • Perform QAQC of design and drawing packages
    • Work as part of a collaborative project team integrated with contractors, vendors, and clients
    • Provide field support during construction
    • Lead design reviews, both internally and with client
    • Travel to client site as required (15% annually, possibly more if remote) for project meetings and field data collection

Required Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree in drafting/design or equivalent technical experience
    • 12+ years of industry-relevant experience working as a designer
    • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience leading design teams

Required Previous Recent Experience with the Following:
    • Process and utility system piping design in a 3D environment
    • 3D piping and equipment specification, model generation, and database management
    • Utilizing point cloud data to develop 3D designs
    • ISA standards for P&IDs
    • Coordination of design packages with multiple resources, disciplines, and vendors
    • Designing pipe supports and typical mechanical details for process systems
    • Generating 2D piping plans
    • Creating elevations and isometrics from a 3D model or from existing 2D files

Preferred Qualifications:
    • 8+ years of experience working as a designer in the consumer products, food, and/or beverage industries
    • Hands-on experience as a pipefitter fabricating and/or installing Process Piping systems

Preferred Previous Recent Experience with the Following:
    • Integration and management of multi-party 3D models into a single model for use by the project team
    • Development of pipe and valve specifications
    • Sanitary piping design, clean-in-place (CIP) system design, and/or FDA standard design
    • Oil and gas or chemical plants
    • Ammonia refrigeration design and high pressure steam
    • Navisworks
    • AutoCAD
    • Autodesk Recap
    • AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • Autodesk Inventor
    • SolidWorks

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
The base compensation listed for this job posting reflects a general range for the posted position. Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program. All employees are eligible for On-the-Spot bonuses. Exempt members are also eligible for either quarterly and/or annual bonuses. Eligible full-time and part-time members will be offered medical, dental, vision insurance, employee assistance program, disability, retirement, holiday pay, and several other voluntary benefits.
