PURPOSE:
The Pipefitter/Welder is responsible for tube bending, routing and fitting.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to work "off the ground" and inside confined spaces at certain times
- Able and willing to take and accept call-outs is also required
- Must be able to understand company and Engineering standards for specific jobs
- Coordinate and order materials for jobs.
- Able to work with all pipe fitting tools (angle tools, gas torch, and plasma cutter, etc)
- Pipefitting (small bore, threaded)
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years of either formalized training or a combination of experience and industrial training are required.
- Must be able to pass 6g all position carbon, with stainless coupon test GTAW root and Hot, SMAW filler and Cap
- Tube bending, routing and fitting proficiency is required. Pipefitting shall also be required
- Pass written Pipefitter test and have a valid NCCER certification
COMPETENCIES:
- Good housekeeping skills are a requirement in the welding shop
- Applicant must be self-driven
- Capable of working with others
- Show professionalism in his or her daily work effort
