Form of work- Installs and maintains process pipe and piping systems within the refinery through the application of appropriate welding techniques.
- Selects, installs, and removes various pipe, and piping systems, fittings, gaskets, tubing, and valves.
- Repairs and replaces flanges and performs maintenance on leaking pipes.
- Follows safety and work permits to tie into existing lines, vessels, or tanks.
- Uses hand and power tools to complete assigned work tasks.
- Uses precision measuring and alignment tools to ensure proper alignment.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Follows guidelines and procedures to ensure that equipment is working in a safe and reliable manner.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 5 years related pipefitter experience is required.
- Welding experience is required.
