Pipefitter Welder

We are seeking a Experienced Pipefitter/ Welder to become an integral part of our team. Must have a minimum of 3 years fitting/welding (Welding- 1 year (Required), Fitting- 3 years (Required experience). Ability to read blue prints and technical schematics. Experienced in Carbon and Stainless Steel. ** This is an opportunity to work in an industry NON-Automotive** Aerospace and Energy!!

Job Description:

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Set up components for fitting according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered equipment to match measurements)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts
• Align components using tape measure, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps

Fitter Qualifications:

• Proven experience as fitter or equipment builder
• Experienced working with Carbon and Stainless Steel
• Experience using a variety of welding and equipment and procedures
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings and required math skills
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is preferred

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend Availability
• 1st Shift
