Important Note:
Qualified candidates must be willing to travel to Hawaii and Japan as required. This post is for work located in Hawaii. Accepting this position will require the individual to travel and work over the upcoming holidays including Christmas and New Year 2023.
- Must have a minimum of five years recent shipyard experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and government work specifications.
- Must be intimately familiar with NAVSEA Standard Items as they apply to pipe trade, e.g., 009-71, 009-24, 009-12, etc.
- Must be able to pass government background check.
- Must be able to crop and target pipe spools and runs.
- Must be familiar with pipe systems, tank configurations including system isolation, flush set-ups and hydros.
- Must be proficient with pipe bending tools and machines and have the mathematical ability to build complex pipe spools in shop working from drawings and sketches.
- Must be a self-starter and have proven experience working independently without constant supervision.
- Must be able to pass NAVSEA Sil-braze test.
