Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Piano Teacher to teach part-time at Hix Bros Music School in our Geneva, IL location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! Preference will be given to instructors who can teach on Saturdays.
Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $27-30/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job.

Ensemble Schools is a partnership of community-driven music & dance schools that maintain individual identities but share resources to ensure their mutual success. This posting is for Hix Bros Music School in Geneva. Hix Music opened first as a guitar studio in 1946 and has been in continuous operation as a family endeavor of love, later becoming Hix Bros when Mr. Hix's 3 sons took over the business. Over the years, Hix Bros Music School has grown into a wonderful and vibrant school which offers lessons for piano, voice, guitar, bass, percussion, strings, and more! Recently combined with Imperial School of Music, Hix Bros Music School serves Chicago's western suburbs with more teachers, more lesson programs, and more space. Hix Bros Music School is now located in a newly built-out location in Geneva, IL, which opened in May 2021.
