Job Summary:

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado is seeking a full-time Dermatology Physician-Scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.  This faculty position will develop an independently funded research program within the Department of Dermatology.  This position will see patients in our robust clinical practice, working with outstanding physician/educators and physician/scientists, and mid-level providers.

Key Responsibilities: 

• This position would involve dedicating 70-80% effort to research.  Research duties will be performed at Anschutz Campus based on funded research. Physician will be expected to develop an academic focus or area of expertise relevant to Dermatology and be involved in scholarly activities. 
• This position is 20-30% clinical (2-3 weekly clinics).  Clinical duties will be performed on the main campus in UCH Dermatology clinics, treating a mixture of new and return patients.  Physician is expected to be involved in academic activities.  
• Teaching responsibilities include supervision of trainees in research, as well as clinical supervision of trainees including medical students, residents, and fellows.   
• Physician will be expected to be willing to participate in departmental and institutional committees to further the mission of the department and institution, as needed

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite in Aurora. CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. 

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
• Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Colorado 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current research funding to support at least 50% research effort.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor $240,650-$280,484

Support: The salary is determined, in part, by existing funded research support, departmental support, and projected clinical collections. 

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
