Southwest Florida Pain Center specializes in reducing or eliminating your pain using the latest in successful interventional pain management techniques. We have combined highly advanced imaging technologies and ground-breaking surgical techniques that are taking patients to a pain free lifestyle. Our state-of-the-art on site surgical suites equal unmatched convenience and precision that is only found at Southwest Florida Pain Center. We are expanding and are currently looking for a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team!
The Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs
- Document patient care services by charting in patient electronic records
- Perform therapeutic procedures as needed
- Instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens
- Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans
- Prescribe medication as needed
- Provide assistance to physician during medical procedures
- Comply with federal, state and local legal and professional requirements
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Job Requirements:
- Completion of a PA program
- PA license
- Current DEA certificate
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, experience with an EMR is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and abilities.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to with work patients and maintain goals and visions of the organization
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Must be strong multi-tasker with high level of initiative and follow-through
- High level of professionalism
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
