Physician Assistant-Nights
6:00 PM-7:00AM

The Physician Assistant Department is a leader in provider clinical operations working closely with the staff to ensure outstanding patient care and a supportive environment for our academic mission.
- Management of medical/ surgical issues for our inpatient population
- Admission History & Physicals
- Post-operative checks with neurologic assessments
- Triage and prioritize patient issues including medical and surgical issues, discharges, etc.
- Complete Emergency Admissions when applicable
- Collaborate with surgeon, internist and/or hospitalists, specialists and ancillary staff regarding patient care
- Participate in the huddles and interdisciplinary rounds as applicable
- Outpatient clinic coverage for select services
To be considered for this position, you must have or be eligible to obtain the following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA program (or nearly completed)
- Current or pending NYS Physician Assistant license and registration
- Current or pending BLS/ACLS certification
- Curent or pending NCCPA board certification is required
- Current or pending Infection Control certification
- Current or pending Completion of a child abuse recognition course
- Current or pending DEA required upon hire
- Have excellent communication and be a teamplayer
- Possess strong clinical skills
