Form of workTidalHealth, located in Salisbury, MD, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our growing Neurosurgery department. Position will be serving 288-bed hospital TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. Responsible for both inpatient and outpatient care on a rotating basis M-F 8-5 with on call shifts as scheduled. OR duties as needed with support of experienced Neurosurgeons.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive histories and physical examinations
- Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Formulates diagnosis. Develops a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions.
- Implements therapeutic intervention where appropriate
- Exercise judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon
Hospital Responsibilities:
- OR duties as needed in support of experienced neurosurgeons.
- Conducts hospital rounds on patients including intensive care units
- Performs all admission history and physicals
- Formulates treatment plans as discussed with neurosurgeons
