Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical examinations and record patient medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work or imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications or therapies
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and overall wellness
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Able to be on call at the hospital as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Strong knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in medical software and electronic health records systems
Skills:
- Triage: Proficiency in assessing the urgency of patient conditions and prioritizing care accordingly.
- Hospital: Experience working in a hospital setting, providing comprehensive medical care.
- Physical examinations: Skill in conducting thorough physical examinations to assess patient health.
