Job Summary
Heaven's Angels Services is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join a skilled nursing facility. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will promote and maintain the health of patients by providing Physical Therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; and obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a wellness team.
Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities
• Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses
• Contribute to a physical therapists effectiveness by identifying patient care issues
• Administer treatment programs for patients
• Maintain accurate records of each session
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
• Build relationships with clients to assist them with meeting their wellness goals
• Ensure a clean and safe facility
• Comply with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.

• Previous experience in a therapeutic setting
• Able to stand for long periods
• Physiological knowledge

• Comfortable with performing therapies on diverse clients
