Responsibilities:
- Evaluating residents and planning treatment programs consistent with physician's order and interdisciplinary health team's goals
- Administering physical therapy treatment or appropriately delegating treatment responsibilities to physical therapy staff
- Participating in an interdisciplinary team approach to care including regular team meetings
- Providing instruction and supervision to PTA's, CNA's, and other personnel assigned to care for resident
- Documenting all medical record information (evaluation results, care plans, progress notes, etc.)
- Submitting monthly summary and statistics to the Director of Rehabilitation services
- Participating in the ongoing educational needs within the facility by providing inservices at least four times per year to staff and/or residents
- Serving on various committees according to particular skills and interests
- Providing ongoing restorative education
- Serving as clinical coordinator for clinical education, providing internships for PT and PTA students; facilitating student projects and research as able
- Participating in quality assurance by monitoring problem areas and implementing effective solution; submitting QA reports quarterly
- Documenting positive and negative aspects of staff performance and completing annual performance evaluations
- Preparing and submitting the annual operating budget meetings
- Providing monthly reports to the DRS reflecting safety, QA, educational, clinical, staffing, budgetary, and other pertinent issues
- Proposing and implementing creative programs that will enhance the overall wellness and quality of life for residents (e.g. restorative, aquatic, wellness, education, etc.)
- Ensuring all department guidelines are met (i.e. regular equipment inspections, maintenance, fire and safety regulation)
- Fulfilling all other duties as assigned

Education:
- Master's (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Physical Therapy License (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
