Description
- Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services to identify, prevent, and rehabilitate physical dysfunction or pain, focusing on physical dysfunction.
- Role involves evaluation skills, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise, and procedures to enhance patient's functional independence.
- Evaluation covers strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and daily living activities.
Rate of pay varies with experience and qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross (no online certifications).
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Sharp analytical and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet strict deadlines
