Job Description
Physical Therapist – Full-Time (40 hours per week)
As a Physical Therapist at Osceola Medical Center, you will perform comprehensive assessment of therapy patients both in the inpatient and outpatient setting, develop a plan of care, perform treatment as indicated, assess patient’s response to treatment, and assist with discharge planning.
Qualifications:
- Current State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist license, required
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Utilize exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and education to improve the patient’s overall mobility, pain, and functional ability.
- Provide education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient, family/caregiver, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Evaluate inpatient and outpatient physical therapy patients.
- Establish a plan of care and implement treatment, including exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and education.
- Reassess response to treatment, altering plan of care as necessary, to optimize a patient’s mobility, pain, and functional abilities.
- Assist in discharge planning process.
- Document on electronic health system in a timely manner.
- Communicate with referring practitioner, nursing unit, and other departments when appropriate.
Work Schedule:
- Typically Monday thru Friday, daytime hours
