Job Summary and Qualifications

ThePhysical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will evaluate patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes, and synthesize the data to establish a plan of care with therapeutic interventions and goals appropriate to patient’s age and development.
• You will document evaluations (admission and discharge), modifications in treatment plan of care, and responses to occupational therapy interventions.
• You will determine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, technologies and outcomes and the utilization of PTA’s, students and support personnel.
• You will work as a part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with other therapists, nurses, physicians, allied health professionals to deliver a team approach to each patient.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Physical Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
• 1 year of experience in a Physical Therapy Setting: Acute setting is preferred. Experience working with trauma, hip and wound care is a plus.
• Current BLS certification is required.
