Physical Therapist Assistant (Pta)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a specialization in orthopedics to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a PTA, you will work closely with our experienced orthopedic Physical Therapists to provide quality care and rehabilitation services to patients with orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with orthopedic Physical Therapists to implement and carry out treatment plans for patients with orthopedic injuries or conditions.

• Assist in assessing patients' physical condition, functionality, and limitations to determine appropriate treatment goals.

• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Educate patients on prescribed exercises, self-care techniques, and preventive measures to promote optimal recovery.

• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic physical therapy and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily treatment routines.

• Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Two years of experience as a PTA

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and documentation standards.

• CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialization or experience in orthopedic physical therapy preferred.

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred.
