WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
As a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Independence Rehab in Port Arthur, you will work closely with the Physical Therapist to provide hands-on therapy to our patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of treatment plans, documenting progress notes, and educating patients and their families on therapeutic exercises. You will collaborate with the therapy team to ensure the highest quality of care and excellent patient outcomes. Additionally, you will participate in staff meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices in the field.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To excel as a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential, as is a passion for helping others achieve their rehabilitation goals. Proficiency in utilizing therapy equipment and tools, as well as knowledge of therapy techniques, is a must.
