Physical Therapist Assistant

Infinite Technologies Orthotics and Prosthetics is the premier orthotic prosthetic center providing inpatient and outpatient orthotic and prosthetic services, consults and evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in Virginia, DC and Maryland. Through the facilitation of comprehensive care, education and goal setting we forge lifelong partnerships with our patients in their efforts to heal while introducing them to the most innovative technologies for their individualized treatment.

Infinite Technologies is currently seeking a PTA for a part time position at our Fairfax and Fredericksburg location where they'll provide expert therapy to patients with injuries or illnesses to help them improve movement, manage pain, and/or prevent the loss of mobility, and prosthetic rehabilitation.

Duties Include:

- Contributes to Physical Therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.

• Assists with patient observations as requested by the Physical Therapist and to assist in identifying patients with physical therapy needs.
• Works cooperatively with peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
• Maintain patient records confidentially.
• Schedules patients effectively for best time utilization.
• Observes, records and reports to the Physical Therapist conditions, reactions and responses of patients plan of care.
• Ensures that each patient has adequate knowledge concerning his/her disorder, treatment, and continued care.
• Communicates and coordinates effectively, both written and verbally, with patients, families, and other team members regarding the patient's overall plan of care.
• Participates in discharge planning as requested by the Physical Therapist consistent with patient goals.

Experience -

-Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

-Current state of Virginia license or license eligible

-Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic

-A passion for physical therapy and patient care

- Understanding of physiology and how it relates to physical therapy
