Job Description
- Assisting Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises for patients.
- Aiding patients in performing prescribed exercises and activities under supervision.
- Assisting in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, progress notes, and reports.
- Communicating patient progress and responses to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assisting in the set-up and maintenance of therapy equipment.
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for therapy sessions.
- Providing instructions and support to patients and their families regarding home exercises and activities.
- Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals and caregivers in the rehabilitation process.
- Possession of a New Jersey Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in assisting with physical therapy techniques and exercises.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a physical therapy environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Additional certifications or specialized training related to physical therapy.
