The Physical Therapist works at our school site located in Cranberry Township. Both experienced professionals and new grads are encouraged to apply.
JOB SUMMARY-PHYSICAL THERAPIST
The Physical Therapist is responsible for administering physical therapy services to children and adults served directly by Easterseals and by contracted services to Easterseals.
QUALIFICATIONS-PHYSICAL THERAPIST

• Graduate from a school of physical therapy, accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, required.
• PA Physical Therapist license required.
• Completion of educational credits needed to maintain license/certification required.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.
• Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
• Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.
• Acceptable FBI Clearance required.
• Passing of physical examination and TB required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-PHYSICAL THERAPIST

1. Provide physical therapy evaluations and services to children, adults, and families using appropriate intervention strategies and techniques.

1. Implement interdisciplinary aspects of students' current Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) which includes, but is not limited to: communication systems, behavioral interventions, feeding approaches, sensory diet, and mobility recommendations.

1. Write and maintain satisfactory records, evaluations, progress reports and IEPs, as required by Easterseals. Complete billing report and necessary treatment documentation as required by Easterseals procedures and other contracting agencies.

1. Provide home programs and additional training to families and other care providers as indicated. Provide additional therapy suggestions to classroom employees regarding activities, positioning and adaptive devices as necessary.

BENEFITS

• Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 6.5 hour days. Working only 32.5 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The hourly rate of pay is $36.92 for experienced candidates for an annual salary of $49,195. We may offer the option of additional summer income as well.
