Photo Studio / Overnight Equipment Tech

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an integral part of the studio-client concierge team, Equipment Tech serves as the main point of contact for clients requesting equipment on day-of Shoots and Events and coordinates with all teams to ensure client needs and requests are handled with the greatest efficiency and professionalism.

Tasks on set include installation, breakdown of equipment and handling client request/inquires or directing them to the appropriate party.

Equipment Techs maintain the studios equipment inventory and ensure the quality and accuracy of all incoming and outgoing gear.

This position has a strong potential for growth, within the department as well as Production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Client Concierge during client arrivals and departures. Serves as the main point of contact for clients arriving and departing from the facilities; acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments for any and all requests; ensuring client needs and requests are handled with the greatest efficiency and professionalism possible.

- Deliver and stage all requested EQ to studio for new and continuing clients

- Inventory all equipment at the end of each shoot or event, remove from studio and return to storage rooms

- Reset studio to standard setup or complete custom layouts

- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the equipment rooms, storage and common areas

- Ensure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing EQ through our rental software

- Equipment maintenance, inventory and repair

- Gather, interpret and transcribe information from client communications [emails, phone calls and direct conversations] regarding their equipment needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1+ year in a Photo Venue or Rental House experience

- Strong Knowledge of photo, grip, lighting, electric and production equipment

- Knowledge of Still Photo + Video digital preferred

- On-set experience a plus

- Ability to handle fast paced and high stress environment

- Self-starter, high-level of efficiency and organization

- Strong communication skills

- Positive attitude

- Ability to lift and move minimum 50lbs

- Weekend availability a must
