Overview / Objective
NFL Media is seeking a full time Photo Manager to join our team. The NFL's photo department manages still imagery across all digital platforms and League groups, including editorial, social, and marketing. The ideal candidate has a passion for football, visual storytelling, and a drive to find the most engaging images for our audience. This position, reporting to our Director of Photography, will focus largely on running the day-to-day operations of the NFL's photo editing team, including managing editors and maintaining the schedule and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Manage photo editor staff of 11 part-time and seasonal photo editors including hiring, training, scheduling and daily oversite.
- Oversee game day and tentpole event workflows including oversite of all staff both onsite and in office as well as distribution of all photo assignments.
- This position will support all projects and processes across photo productions, including collaboration with creative teams, photographers, post-production and distribution.
- Review asks from stakeholders to assess project feasibility, evaluate against style guides, and manage scheduling of resources and projects.
- Manage image distribution to all clubs and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with programming, graphics, marketing, and PR teams as well as external partners.
- Oversee and coordinate with the Creative department to coordinate new stylized templates and distribute to photo team.
- Analyze and manage image uploads to our DCL platform and archive servers.

Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years' experience photo editing for digital media, preferably for editorial outlets.
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in photography, visual design, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of best practices for editorial images.
- Knowledge of commercial licensing agreements
- Critical skills: detail oriented, timeline driven, problem solver, clear communicator, organized and collaborative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in photography, visual design, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in sports photography preferred.
- Fluency in Adobe Photoshop and Photo Mechanic.
- Available to work evenings and weekends.
- Passion for the NFL, familiarity with NFL news and storylines.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This role will require some overtime (time worked in excess of 40 hours) and/or weekends.
