History

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event 'Invitational Series.' 2023 saw the inaugural LIV Golf League host 14 events around the world, from Adelaide to Chicago, Andalucia to Singapore, as well as launch the game's first Team franchises, captained by some of golf's most decorated superstars.

The format, respecting the history and traditions of the game, has been optimized for modern day sports fans; 3-days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, offering a faster pace-of play to drive engaging storylines and offer an immersive fan experience.

The events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast around the world to over 300million homes, deliver a family-friendly environment, festival-style atmosphere, evening concert entertainment and world-class competition; a combination that is unique to the world of golf.

In 2024, LIV Golf will further expand the reach of the League, splitting the schedule between some of the most iconic venues across Asia, Europe and the Middle East with decorated venues in the US. The full player pathway, created in partnership with the Asian Tour, also launches, with the game's first ever player Promotion and Relegation, and Player Transfer Window, as the holistic integration of LIV Golf is fully delivered.

Role Objective

The Photo Editor willbe at the heart of crafting and communicating the visual story that defines the brand. As a Photo Editor, your role will be pivotal in curating a comprehensive and high-quality image library, blending non-event and event responsibilities to capture the essence of the brand. The ideal candidate will be located in the West Palm Beach, FL area. This position will involve some international travel. During events, there will be some required work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during tournament hours. The non-event schedule follows traditional workdays.

Non-Event Responsibilities

• Revitalize existing imagery by incorporating new metadata, encompassing editing, captioning, and inputting additional fields and keywords.
• Tag and categorize 2023 imagery within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system based on usage and requests.
• Assemble collections for internal stakeholders and fulfill photo requests.
• Ensure meticulous archiving of images post-event and contribute to the upkeep of the in-house image archive.

Event Responsibilities

• Curate image assets for company departments, editorial coverage, and marketing applications.
• Provide support in photo shoots and event editing, maintaining brand quality and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Edit, input metadata, and transmit a high volume of images in real-time for use across the company's ecosystem.
• Act as a second shooter during events, such as press conferences, ensuring adherence to the brand's quality and technical standards.
• Apply metadata and archive images into the DAM, managing image distribution to internal stakeholders.
• Prioritize images by relevance and deadlines, recognizing staff, league teams, players, and important partners for effective captioning.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all images meet brand standards before distribution.
• Collaborate closely with photographers and team members to comprehend project requirements and deliver high-quality visual content.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Photo Mechanic).
• Ability to excel under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of sports industry is advantageous.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Occasional field support and attendance at events.
• Proficiency in Apple Computers, FTP, and industry-standard editing tools.
• Caption writing and copy-editing skills.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a demonstrated knowledge of industry-style captioning and IPTC metadata standards.
• Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
• Mix of sedentary work involving sitting/standing, with constant computer operation.
• Successful candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment with immediate image turnaround during and after events.
