Job Description:

This position is a full-time, overnight role.

  • 4 - 10hr days.

  • Every 3rd weekend rotation.

  • Newly increased shift differentials for overnights, weekends, and holidays!

Responsibilities:

  • Phlebotomy Excellence: Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures with precision, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

  • Sample Collection and Processing: Collect, label, and process blood and other specimens using established techniques. Order, receive, accession, and track specimens in the department's information system(s).

  • Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of collected specimens against orders and perform waived testing as required.

  • Specimen Handling: Prepare specimens for testing or shipment to internal/external laboratories. Dispose of specimens according to policies and procedures.

  • Clerical Duties: Perform clerical duties, including maintaining supplies and equipment.

  • Collaborative Learning: Engage in collaborative learning opportunities, contributing to the team's collective growth by fostering an environment of shared knowledge and skill development.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of lab processes by sharing your expertise, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and staying informed about industry best practices.

  • Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience as a Phlebotomist in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.

  • Possess hands-on experience in phlebotomy techniques or have successfully completed a recognized phlebotomy program preferred.

Note: Although experience is preferred, we may be willing to train. New graduates or those with evolving skills are also welcome to apply for consideration.\

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Scheduled Work Shift: 7p-7a (United States of America)
