Job description

Position: Pharmacy Performance Specialist Lead
As the company's pharmacy performance Technician Lead you will play a key role in driving operations, productivity, quality assessments, as well as assist in the development of job aids and training materials for the medication therapy management (MTM) and pharmacy performance programs. This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to an innovative program that improves member medication outcomes by working with pharmacists, technicians, members, and providers to maximize health outcomes. Experience in pharmacy benefit operations and assessment and pharmacy (including interdisciplinary team) program management functions, preferably in a managed care context, is required. This is an office-based position in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area or the Nashville, TN metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
  • Lead pharmacy performance specialists (technician and coordinators) as they assist pharmacists with daily comprehensive medication review (CMR), provider and member intervention operations deliverables.
  • Lead technicians with medication focused outreaches consistent with established protocols.
  • Implement and maintain job aides (desktops) and policy documents for pharmacy specialist functions and programs.
  • Ensure appropriate preparation and distribution of comprehensive medication reconciliations through pharmacy specialist processes and IT team projects.
  • Lead implementation of actions needed to improve performance based on performance reporting consistent with defined expectations.
  • Conduct routine one-on- one meetings focusing on integrity and productivity assessments for the pharmacy specialist team
  • Deliver productivity reporting results for daily, weekly, and monthly assessments, as defined.
  • Work closely and cooperatively with all pharmacy team members. Serve as a mentor to orient, train, and assist pharmacy specialist staff and assess pharmacy specialist staff operational. progress towards individual, department, and company goals.
  • Collaborate with MH interdisciplinary teams to assist with member medications needs.
  • Complete projects as assigned by SVP and Pharmacy Director of MTM & Pharmacy Performance to drive health outcomes.

Position Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in and knowledge of pharmacy services and operations, technician functions associated with pharmacy services (MTM, Medicare and Medicaid benefits) as well as quality and established organization productivity standards.
  • College degree preferred, not required
  • Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with coworkers, medical practices, and others.
  • 2+ years working on and leading operational teams, ideally within the healthcare or service industry; experience with training and coaching staff is desired; experience in HR coordination and onboarding roles such as trained staff on appropriate processes and procedures with respect to department protocols and HIPPA regulations.
  • 2+ years team building experience or comparable education
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience working in high-growth environment preferred
