Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient (Prn)

Inpatient Pharmacy Technician 
The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician assists with the preparation and dispensing of medications for patients served by Broadlawns Medical Center Inpatient Pharmacy.  All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Schedule 

• 3pm - 11:30pm Saturday & Sunday
• Every 4th weekend as needed

Qualifications 

• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of employment
• Successful completion of the Certified Pharmacy Technician examination within 18 months of beginning position
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, coworkers, and vendor partners 
• Math aptitude with the ability to perform dosage or quantity calculations accurately
• Experience with pyxis preferred 
• Knowledge of medical terminology, including generic and brand name pharmaceuticals
