Pharmacy Technician II
Supports the CarelonRX Pharmacy line of business
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) working 2 days in office per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Grand Prairie, TX PulsePoint location. This position requires a TX Board of Pharmacy certification.
Shift: Monday- Friday 9:30AM-6:00PM CT.

The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for the interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues.
How you will make an impact:
Verifies patient information and inputs data for the pharmacists.
Educates prescribers and patients on pharmacy based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
Processes prior authorization requests from physicians’ offices and ensures compliance with Medicare requirements.
Responds to inquiries from physicians on formulary and prescription benefits.
Minimum Requirements
Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.
Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high volume mail order or specialty pharmacy preferred.
Experience in high volume call center/customer service preferred.
