ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities / Essential Functions
1. Follows directions and perform work according to department standards.
2. Perform duties with little or no supervision.
3. Complete duties during the assigned shift with few exceptions.
4. Maintain a positive attitude and promote team work and an effective working relationship with other department employees and physicians
5. Maintain security of storage or pharmaceutical areas.
6. Ability and willingness to cross train within the Pharmacy department.
7. Maintain proper inventory control, keeping items in proper locations, keeping stock rotated, and ensuring appropriate re-orders.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

10. Assists with quality management as directed: current with assigned unit inspections, PI projects, area cleaning, process out of date medications.
11. Makes timely deliveries of medications to patient care areas
12. Answers the phone in a courteous manner and directs call as appropriate.
13. Stays informed of departmental and hospital information that is communicated by email and in the Huddle.
QualificationsMinimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Registered with Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. Must be computer literate
Experience: Inventory control or shipping and receiving helpful. Organization skills to handle multiple tasks. Interpersonal skills required to work with intradepartmental relations
