Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to patients. Your attention to detail and knowledge of pharmacy operations will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of medications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications
- Assist in the preparation of sterile products using aseptic technique
- Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of medications
- Maintain patient profiles and medication records
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Assist with medication administration, including inhalation therapies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
- Experience in a hospital or critical care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques is desired
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
