Responsibilities
1. Performs all duties associated with the Registered Pharmacist position within the scope of licensure.
2. Initiates and documents pharmacist interventions to change prescribing where required. 3. Participates in patient care rounds as appropri
4. Contributes to and participates in the departmental medication use evaluation plan, including but not limited to CMI (Clinical Management Initiatives).
5. Reviews current medical/pharmacy literature regularly for recent developments in disease state therapeutics as well as new product development.
Provides health professionals with drug information and/or references. 7. Prepares periodic information as newsletters for physicians, nurses and pharmacists regarding drug therapy and administration
8. Provides inservice education seminars and programs to the pharmacy staff and other health care professionals
Facilitates preparation of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee material. 10. Investigates and documents reports of Adverse Drug Reactions. Facilitates Adverse Drug Reaction Subcommittee meetings
Completes all required documentation. 12. Completes a minimal equivalent of 47 weeks of active training to receive residency certificate
13. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, 14. psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area
15. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information. 16. Observes the Health Care System’s compliance policies. 17. Acts as the managing pharmacist while working weekends
18. Exercises sound judgement, recognizes and attends to priorities. 19. Participates in departmental quality assurance activities. 20. Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements

The salary range for this role is $51,885.93 - $51,885.93 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
