The Pharmacy Compliance Field Investigator will be responsible for conducting retail Pharmacy Compliance investigations. These investigations will include staff interviews, physical inspections, drug utilization reviews, and recordkeeping reconciliation. You will ensure compliance and adherence to Publix policies, procedures and applicable state and federal regulations and other legal requirements related to the practice of pharmacy and medicinal drugs, including without limitation, controlled substances. You will collaborate with the Publix legal team, loss prevention and other teams that will require confidentiality. You will be make independent analysis requiring adherence to documentation standards for reporting purposes. Your knowledge of pharmacy healthcare regulations and standards will be of utmost importance. This role includes:
- Managing pharmacy related investigations, keeping leadership abreast of progress with each one.
- Conducting onsite evaluations, staff interviews, reviews of onsite records, inventory processes, workflow compliance to complete required investigation documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in other business area's including pharmacy operations, loss prevention, corporate compliance, and records management teams.
- Overseeing assigned tasks, comments, and related questions to keep investigation on track.
- Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on policies, procedures, regulations, and laws pertaining to the compliance investigation process.
- Maintaining current investigation tools and data requirements.
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays in the states in which Publix operates including AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN, and VA.
- Availability to work extended hours as needed.
