Pharmacist

Specialty Pharmacy seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team

DUTIES
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients by dispensing medications and providing medication therapy management
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe and effective medication use
- Conduct patient assessments and provide counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
- Monitor patient responses to drug therapy and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
- Perform medication reconciliation and review patient profiles for potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, including sterile compounding and IV infusion
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate medication administration

- Supervising and managing the work of pharmacy technicians and support staff

- Managing pharmacy inventory, ordering medications and monitoring expiration dates

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug interactions
- Experience in critical care or acute care settings preferred
- Proficiency in utilizing pharmacy software systems for medication order entry and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of utilization management principles and practices
- Familiarity with acute pain management protocols and pain management guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
