Through the merger of Thomas Jefferson University and Philadelphia University in 2017, our University includes ten colleges and four schools. Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or RPH (see below under experience)
AND
Experience: PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred (consider: 5 years of experience + RPH acceptable for education)
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Pharmacist License in the State of Pennsylvania
Essential Functions:
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Assures the appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies
- Oversees the distribution of medications throughout TJUH
- Supports implementation of processes to assure the quality of Pharmacy services
- Trains staff as assigned (e.g., residents, interns, technicians, new pharmacists)
- Precepts student pharmacists as assigned. See Preceptor Development & Evaluation Program
