Department Overview
Position Summary
Provides information to all customers/clients to promote optimal utilization of drugs. Coordinates the delivery of effective, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy to all patients. Conducts clinical and pharmacoeconomic research in support of the hospital's medical staffs and to improve drug therapy. Provides oversight of pharmacy technician activities.
The schedule is a 7-on/7-off overnight position. The shifts will last for 10 hours and the shift timings will vary between 9 pm to 8 am. The pharmacist will cover all inpatient units and will also provide after-hours retail coverage for patients who are discharged from the Emergency Department. It would be preferred if the pharmacist has experience in pediatrics.
*Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution, preferred.
*Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota current or within three months of start date, required.
*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or within three months of hire, required.
*PharmD degree or equal clinical experience preferred for decentral.
*Institutional or retail experience, preferred.
*Pediatric Residency, preferred.
