Pay range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year, based on credentials and geographic location

The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) manages the Pharmacy Staff and is responsible for appropriately dispensing prescribed drugs. The PIC oversees and directly handles incoming physician calls, logging data into the computer, performing Rx workflow processing, transferring prescriptions, and conducting drug utilization reviews.
This is a full-time opportunity located at a new Avita Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA (1226 Chestnut St). The pharmacy will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Great work life balance. No evenings or weekends!
PLEASE NOTE: The pharmacy is scheduled to open in May, but we would like to have the PIC start in April and train at other Avita locations which will require several weeks of overnight travel.
About the Role:
- Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, always maintaining the highest quality of pharmaceutical services
- Foster business growth and control expenses for the pharmacy
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
- Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
- Direct and perform pharmacy activities and manage workflow efficiency
- Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
- Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as appropriate to provide quality patient care and efficient operations
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude
- Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and grooming
- Occasionally travel for business if/when needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Perform in accordance with company policies and standards

About You:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
- 1+ year of full-time retail pharmacy experience
- Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the State of Pennsylvania
- 340B experience preferred
- AAHIVP certification preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills
- Proactive self-starter with high degree of initiative and strong follow-up skills
- Able to efficiently mentor, motivate, and manage pharmacy staff while fostering positive customer relations
