Pay Range: $65-$70/hr

As a Staff Pharmacist with Main St and Unity Pharmacy, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing patient care by providing personalized medication solutions and expert guidance. Your exceptional knowledge of pharmaceuticals, coupled with your passion for patient well-being, will allow you to create a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to patients or other healthcare professionals, following legal and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to ensure the appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness of prescribed medications. Evaluate patients' medical histories, allergies, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding proper medication usage, potential side effects, and precautions. Offer advice on over-the-counter products, healthy lifestyles, and self-care practices.
- Serve as a reliable resource for healthcare professionals and patients by providing accurate and up-to-date drug information. Answer questions regarding medication interactions, dosages, adverse effects, and therapeutic alternatives.
- Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, medication storage, and prescription processing. Collaborate with and manage pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Communicating with medical professionals about patients and their medications.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice. Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard controlled substances according to established protocols.
- Monitor and report adverse drug events, medication errors, and participate in medication safety initiatives. Contribute to quality assurance programs, including medication use evaluations and performance improvement activities.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pharmacy practice through continuing education activities, professional development opportunities, and participation in relevant conferences or seminars.
- Maintaining necessary certifications, training and licenses.
- Administer immunizations and set up/do off-site clinics.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for order entry and medication verification.
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA)*
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
