JOB SUMMARY: Facilitates safe and effective medication use including dispensing medications, entering and verifying medication orders, preparing IV admixtures, supervising technician duties, researching acquisition and therapeutic issues, monitoring outcomes of therapies, documenting interventions and performance improvement activities, and supporting a safe and nurturing environment for all employees to reach their potential.

How You'll Impact Patient care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

- Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
