Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care and medication management to patients
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Conduct medication therapy management and counseling
- Perform medication order verification and review for appropriateness
- Monitor patient drug therapies for safety and efficacy
- Provide drug information to healthcare providers and patients
- Participate in medication utilization management programs
- Oversee IV infusion services and compounding of sterile products
- Contribute to pain management strategies and protocols
- Provide specialized pharmaceutical care for pediatric patients
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical management principles and practices
- Experience in utilization management and pharmacy benefit design
- Proficiency in ER (Emergency Room) pharmacy services
- Expertise in IV infusion therapy and compounding sterile products
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and protocols
- Excellent patient care and counseling skills
- Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards
