Duties
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy
- Providing patient care by dispensing medications and counseling on their use
- Administering IV infusions and monitoring patients for adverse reactions
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens
- Performing medication utilization reviews to ensure safe and effective drug therapy
- Managing acute pain through medication therapy in settings such as the ICU
- Delivering exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Proficiency in medical terminology and pharmacology
- Experience in medication administration and management
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
