```Duties:```
- Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide medication counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy
- Review and interpret prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions
- Compound and dispense specialty medications as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Provide education to patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and medication management processes
```Qualifications:```
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medication therapy management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient computer skills for medication order entry and documentation
Please note that this position is specific to the emergency department (ER) setting. Experience or interest in working in an emergency department is preferred.
