Pharmacist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in an in-house long-term care pharmacy. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. You will work closely with our physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes for our residents.

Duties:
- Oversee highly trained Pharmacy technicians that have exceptional experience in the long-term care pharmacy setting.

- Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication profiles and documentation of interventions
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice
- Stay current on new drugs, therapies, and regulations in order to provide the highest level of pharmaceutical care

Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in the state of New Jersey.
- Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to provide individualized patient care

- Knowledge of QS1 PrimeCare Pharmacy Software is preferred but not a requirement.
