Job description

Inizio Engage has a long-standing partnership with a leading Biotechnology company across Commercial, Patient Solutions and Medical Affairs businesses.

To provide leadership and oversight of a REMS Educator Team engaging with identified targets in assigned territories focused on dispensing and administration sites with the purpose of educating on REMS (Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategy) requirements and processes.

What will you be doing?

  • To ensure the team has a sound understanding of the relevant product(s) Package Insert Information, REMS requirements (including audit and CAPA requirements) and dispensing site requirements to facilitate detailed educational discussions with the appropriate professionals and Authorized Representatives.
  • Oversee and ensure proactive REMS education and engagement with Authorized Representatives, supporting process certification in a timely manner.
  • Monitor (as needed) reactive responses to medical information requests related to REMS, product handling and initial site certification. Ensure timely follow up on REMS and product handling related questions received by UBC Coordinating Center, One Source or client
  • Demonstrate sound decision making and judgment in all operational, compliance and Human Resource elements of the program.
  • Ensure team exceeds achievement of KPIs and activity targets as set by the client and Inizio leadership.
  • Create culture of accountable independence by delivering consistent, measurable, and transparent feedback through field contact reports, virtual coaching and regular performance discussions.
  • Ensure team works closely with contracted REMS Coordinating Center Operations.
  • Partner with client field leadership teams to ensure operational efficiencies and productively resolve territory challenges.
  • Confirm execution of education strategies and initiatives utilizing client-approved materials and resources for both live and virtual engagements.
  • Support teams’ initiation and execution of REMS presentations both live and virtual at the frequency and attendance rate as set by the company and client. To provide client and Inizio Engage leadership with accurate and timely data and territory insights.
  • To communicate with all relevant personnel within Inizio Engage.
  • To adhere to all client and Inizio Engage compliance regulations and guidance.
  • To ensure all company expenditure on territory is accurately monitored and accounted for within budget and expense submissions are completed, approved, and submitted within the agreed deadlines.
  • To represent the client and Inizio Engage in a professional manner and in adherence with the company dress code.
  • To deal with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To maintain company property to the highest standard.
  • To adhere to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufactures of America (PhRMA) code of conduct without exception.
  • To possess a valid driver’s license at all times and to notify the company immediately of any endorsement or violations.

What do you need for this position?

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, allied health focus such as pharmacy, nursing an asset.
  • 7+ years pharmaceutical experience with 2+ years’ experience including at least 2 years of field leadership with FDA REMS programs. Demonstrated experience in training/education and/or complex account management.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours which may includeinfrequent Saturdays to support individual territories and dispensing site targets within assigned geographies.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance and talent management and field coaching including (but not limited to) documentation and annual reviews.
  • Strong understanding of site of care dynamics.
  • Possess ability to instill a since of urgency, collaboration, and teamwork mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication and platform skills with a strong work ethic.
  • Determined to succeed and contribute.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
