Description:
This company formulates/manufactures materials that are utilized in pharmaceutical products. The Pharmaceutical Chemist Technician is responsible for raw material sampling, sample logging, and sample send-out procedures (all pertaining to pharmaceutical production). This position will also sample the purified water system and perform water testing including pH, TOC, and conductivity tests. Also consists of people filing proper documentation.
Job Details:
- Pay: $22+/hr
- Shift: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Mon – Fri)
- Location: Downtown St. Louis, MO (further details upon application)
Position Requirements:
- COMPLETED bachelor degree in sciences --> can be from Chemistry, Biology, or anything working with the instrumentation below
- Some exposure to GMP or GLP laboratory procedures AFTER COLLEGE --> only needs to be 3+ months
Duties:
- Responsible for raw material sampling, sample logging, and sample send-out procedures
- Handles hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety PPE and safety equipment.
- Conduct testing for raw material, in-process, and final product testing utilizing:
- HPLC
- Gas Chromatography
- UV-Vis Spectroscopy
- Karl Fischer
- auto-titrator
- other analytical instruments and wet chemistry methods
- Responsible for sampling of the purified water system and performing water testing including:
- pH testing
- TOC testing
- Conductivity testing
- Completes documentation in a legible manner and reviews for accuracy according to GDP and GMP's.
- Works within MS Excel and other databases for sample tracking.
